Duck ponds

Has anybody else's duck ponds suffered at the hands of the amount of rain we have had me and my mate had a duck pond with duck on it before we went on holiday in sept then the rains came and nothing's using it now!! Big thumbs down!!!

No not really had a few paddling on flood waters in the day but there still flighting at night.

The duck up here were everywhere, as the rain filled fields and places that were normally dry. But now the cold is tightning them into the larger ponds and coastline

the feeding options for ducks this year is crazy with flooded stubles and even some feilds with grain still standing, once all these other options are finished and the weather turns a bit colder your pond will come back, if you have permission some of these flooded splashes can produce some good sport ive shot a few this year and has been mixed results good luck with your pond bud cammy

I got told today there's peregrine falcons nailing duck near where our pond is aswell!! Fantastic

the pond I was shooting last night has done well,, plenty feeding mind,, effort in ,, results out eh ?

 

The options for them to go elsewhere are a pain mind

We have been checking and feeding every other day cleared a lot of floating viegitation out which had overgrown the pond I don't know what else I can do apart from bribe them

theres a few fields near me that are now like small ponds theres plenty of ducks taking to it now

Now starting too see teal in on our ponds in cornwall, first day on the pheasants tomorrow do will see how many duck come off the 4 ponds

We can't catch a break with wet weather you think it's starting to dry up then bang! More rain no sign of duck there is a peregrine taking duck of a splash on a boundary nearby that a guy we know shoots just to add to the misery

We are starting to see numbers now...but there are still loads of flooded splashes about and the ducks are going in there too.....it hard, but keep feeding and they will come back when it gets a bit harder weather....
