yes it does mate. you have to remember that when your dial is turned up to 15ft its actually 8ft deep. basically you have to more or less halve whatever it says on the dial. im assuming that the 8ft collar is also a mark 1

no you dont ... it works as normal upto 8ft ...

ive used a box and collar this way for the last 4yrs..

also the mk1 box will work with any deben collar

so up to 8ft on the dial will be the same for both...and then beyond that you lose one and not the other? I'd have a fert with a 15ft collar and one with an 8ft so I'd need to know that when the box is showing 4ft its 4ft for both...not 4ft on one and 2ft on the other.

yes it reads as normal upto 8ft

if its in between 8 and 15 foot the bugger will be stopping there until it moves a bit closer the spade

all of the sets on my permission are quite shallow.....deepest I've had to dig so far is about 3ft!
