Zeroing at 25 yards?

Hi,ive got a new scope,trying to zero it in,it seems to hit the spot at 15 yards everytime,but when i shoot a target at 25 to try and zero it,its just inconsistantly hitting all different parts of the target,some will hit the floor infront of it,others will hit above where im aiming...

 

Any suggestions?

Yes drop your max range buddy to 15 yards until you can di what you do at 15 yards but at 25.

Yeh but what im saying is,when i shoot at 25 yards theres no consistancy of the pellet,its not going in the same place,if i shoot 10 shots and make no adjustments to the turrets,it will be all over the target...

have you got both the scope mounts the right way around? ones slightly shorter than the other. the short one needs to go at the front. if there the wrong way around this could cuase you to pepper the target at longer ranges

 

also pull the barrel threw

 

what sort of rifle are you useing here?

Not sure,havnt changed the mounts around for a long time,ill double check though.

I have had this happen to me twice..the first time the silencer was out of line and the pellet was clipping it on the way out of the barrel..the second time i had it happen on another gun i changed the scope's mount's the lot..but it was still flinging them all over..so i cleaned the barrel and that solved the problem..

The mounts seem to be the same size,i took the silencer off and its still doing it,how did you clean the barrel?

Try some different pellets my supersport would be fine out to 25yards then after that they would be all over the place, what rifle do you have?

Have you changed anything other than the scope, including pellet type? Was it grouping OK before? What kit are you using?

strong fishing line, ties some cloth in the middle of it, then thread n pull through, oil on the cloth but clean the oil threw after till the cloth is clean..then pellet lube will coat the barrel.

 

pcps ignite oil.. springers deail if its too much in there.

,how did you clean the barrel?

I have a copper brazing rod that i can push a oiled piece of cloth through the barrel with..the amount of crap i got out of my barrel was unbelievable..i think i had to push it through about 15 time's before it started to come through clean..

if your using something like a cheap gamo with crap pellets you wont hit a barndoor at 25 yards mate. tell us what scope and rifle and pellets you are using and we might be able to help more

HW77K with a 4-12x50 panorama ev IR.I had left the gun at my uncles,and it was working fine before i left it there,when i picked it up it shoots accurately to about 15-20 yards and then at 25 its just doing what it feels like,im using these pellets http://www.solware.co.uk/air-pistol-air-rifle/rws-superpoint-22.jpg ,but i tried some other pellets and they were doing the same thing

Get some h&n ftt 5.53 or 4.53 dependant on calibre and tell us how you get on
