First Terrier

I've just gained my first terrier, he's 11 month old patt, he's from good working stock, but has not seen anything yet. Whats the best way to introducing him to work, i do alot off work on fox's with lurchers and i'm keen to work the terrier with them.(Ireland)

I,m no expert mate but i started my pups on rats, they got a few nips but their keen as hell now, they caught a cat [by accident] and dispatched it quickly, will try them at fox in september :thumbs-up: good luck with yours

If its got what it takes it will go on its own . Dont mess around trying to coaks in to an earth just slite ingouragement should do . Take some one who knows what there doing.

try to get it on as many digs a possible mate(let it se what its all about) if it has it it will be doing cartwheels to get at its quarry mate, well most do, some need some coaxing, too many people wright dogs off far too early !
