Hi I've just purchased a Night master 800 aweek ago because I was looking for a gun mountable torch for my Weihrauch hw100t that was light because of the weight of the gun on its own but I aint used it yet tho hence been pissing it down every night and dont want to get my gun wet  Ive tried it off my back step of the house and it lit the chimmneys up on the houses I'm guessing 200yds away no problems and could see through my scope easy. Also what I hear the batteries are not like the usual batteries you get and dont have a memory so you can top it up with charge as an when without worrying about your battery buggering up. You only get 1 battery with it but you can buy them from dereelight for 12quid which I thinks abit much so I noticed its a 18650 battery and searched ebay and noticed they sell other make 18650 ones for really cheap like 2 for 4quid free delivery so think I'll buy them then next thing I'm going to get is a RED led module for it.

ive just bought this cree http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170915942900?var=470203091558&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 after reading about them on here, nice solid sturdy torch, took it out last night was quite a light night but still impressed with this little torches power, like gareth daniel said, bit of messing about clicking through modes, i found out to click through modes you dont have to "click" the button but jus keep pressing it lightly to switch modes so other than that well impressed, think ill buy the 1 what troter has save the messing about gettin the correct mode, the batteries supplied with the torch have no memory so if you let them run out theyre facked! oh and i paid a fiver for the plug adaptor from argos as you only get U.S.A charger

DON'T !!

Buy good PROTECTED batteries, don't buy any battery that rates itself as having a capacity above 3100 mah either.

Batteries are more of a minefield than the flashlights.

XTAR are a good brand.

It may have a memory. Try selecting the light level you want to use, when you're switching it off hold the clicky button down for say 10 seconds (I'm being very conservative, 5 would probably do), then try turning it on as normal again and see does it "remember" that light level.
