Millet 4,497
Millet, just the man I'm looking for! I see you have a clulight jobby. Simple question, are they any good? I'm after a decent lamp that'll drop into a coat pocket. I really like the secondary bulb on them as well for gates/ditches etc. Sorry to highjack the thread but just looking for a quick answer.... They are a good little lamp..not as good as when they first arrived on the market but still good all the same..if you buy one from new you will need to take the lens of and adjust the two reflector screw's till you can get the beam as near as dam it.. ..when it was legal i chased many a rabbit hare and fox using one and other thing's (rat's ) and it was more than upto the job.. ..and if the lightforce industry every fell through i would revert straight back to a clulite..

I understand what you are saying but im looking for a handy little torch that im not gonna need to dry my eyes out if I leave in a loft if when doing a wasp nest, loose in the car, backfill by mistake, lend out & forget who I lent it to. Or have to ditch etc. I had the p14 till recently a mate agg'd me to death till I sold it to him. Ive got the 140 variable, clulite, maglite with a good upgrade bulb. But I think one of these will be more handy than them all.

Millet 4,497
If you are a pestie i don't think you will ever beat a P14 for all out versatility..put a lanyard on one to your wrist so you never leave it behind..
JohnGalway 1,043
My Thrunite has landed, f**k me it's bright, haven't the scope where I am right now to test it out properly. Unless I go lamping cars on the dual carriageway across the fields, somehow I don't think that'd end well.

Millet 4,497
Here's a few picture's i took last week to compare the tree is around 280yrd's away on a moon lit night..i have used the nightmaster 800 since and is a great light for spotting with or scope mounting..the one i have has only one battery..so when i get a second one and the extension battery tube it will be brighter again.. LED Lenser P14.. Lightforce 170 with a 100 watt bulb.. Nightmaster 800 with a single battery.. Edited November 8, 2012 by Millet
JohnGalway 1,043
Millet, What camera did you use to take those pics? Not sure mine would be up to the job but I've been thinking of doing something similar (still no sign of the effing Crelant, but my FandyFire did arrive today). And did you range that tree or pace it?
