Matt3699 142
http://www.huntspost...shire_1_1659309 I'm glad my hard earned tax money is being spent well! They used to have a dedicated chopper for catching the evil coursers. Edited October 24, 2012 by Matt3699 Quote Link to post

Rogue and running dog 26
It's a bad state of affairs when there is missing kids and they are wasting their time on a few lads that are just rabbiting! 2 Quote Link to post
skycat 6,173
More media hysteria: been out ferreting and been targeted as hare coursers: its come to the stage where the public see a lurcher and immediately think hare coursers. Ooh, nasty, evil criminals. Even had one old lady out walking her dog when we were ferreting the common; hiding behind a tree looking scared. So I went up to her, wished her Good Morning, and told her what we were doing. She thought we were coursing! I asked her why she thought that, and she said we had lurchers, and that's what they did! Talk about media hyping up gullible people. Bloody ridiculous. 6 Quote Link to post

Talk about media hyping up gullible people. Bloody ridiculous. It really is ridiculous. It upsets me that the media can easily twist the general public's perception on hunters by posting articles such as this. Criminals use it as a front to steal farm equipment. I'm sure that does happen on extremely rare occasions... but come on. Don't tare us all with the same brush. We aren't criminals! It's also making it impossible to find permission. All I want to do catch a few bunnies but as soon as the farmers hear I have a saluki X Lurcher I pretty much get told to f**k off.... They say that the shooting season is in and there is no running dogs allowed on the land. They are making it very difficult for us to hunt legally with dogs. If I wanted to course Hares I would visit my friends/ Family in Ireland. Got lots more to say on this but it makes me angry talking about it! Quote Link to post

obi2 239
"The hares are sometimes used as food but more often there left lying which makes this a sport" if they hadn't banned it I'm sure every hare that was caught up and down the country would be took home for the table or dog food and we would be living off the land like we should be! f*****g joke!!!! 6 Quote Link to post

Absolutely.. As I said, all i'm interested in is the bunnies. I have to respect the law even if I don't agree with it. The dog is a family pet and I wouldn't want to risk losing her because she chased an oversized bunny. But it's articles like this that are making the public think that everyone with a Lurcher is an illegal Hare courser, much like Skycat said. "The hares are sometimes used as food but more often there left lying which makes this a sport" if they hadn't banned it I'm sure every hare that was caught up and down the country would be took home for the table or dog food and we would be living off the land like we should be! f*****g joke!!!! That's it. It's catch 22. You can't win. Quote Link to post

Jamie m 668
They've stalled the badger cull saying it's to expensive after the Olympics ha ha ha ha ha pmsl , 100 million quid spent on a training camp for English footballers if there that crap get new ones lol , so to expensive know donators to the conservatives are tree huggers more like, there's a website called pigeon watch full of competent shooters who would pay pound a head to shoot badgers lol , so once again conservatives mugging us off , beware trying to get them to review the hunting act it may well back fire, as the bunny huggers may well make more things illegal ,dont supose anyone thought of that hey, Quote Link to post

desertbred 5,490
people complain about the unfairness of the ban and post articles the tree huggers and antis write , isnt it time to fight back people start harassing thier members of parliament, thier local political parties and those who have political ambitions, If you are accosted by over zealous police officers while carrying out legal country sport pursuit then write to the Chief Constable and complain or get a solicitor to do it on your behalf. The police have been instructed to make life as difficult as possible for suspected poachers , which as far as I can see means anyone in the company of a lurcher or hound, why not treturn the favour complain every time you are discriminated against because you appear to be a stereo typical hare courser. Some of the budding authors write articles and get them published about how the country side and the urban town and cities are being affected by badgers spreading bovine TB how the Urban foxes are raiding the take away dustbins and spreading infections and encouraging rats which in turn infect humans. this can be linked back to the ridiculous hunting with dogs act. The cruelty of rabbits being left to suffer meximatosis because if lads go to despatch them, they are arrested and harrassed and accused of hare coursing or badger digging. Nuisance value works both ways so instead of accepting the unjust law get it changed see the antis managed to postpone the badger cull bause they are active in lobbying while the hunting fraternity are slinking around like foxes in the night Edited October 24, 2012 by desertbred 2 Quote Link to post
