zini 1,939
Hi there, In this episode of VerminHuntersTV I am back in the indoor rifle range again on request from some of our subscribers shooting a group with my HW97KT, talking about aids to gaining better accuracy, talking about rifle safety when using a sling and out on one of my permissions shooting rabbits for a stables owner who is having problems with rabbits digging in her horse paddocks. Please enjoy Si. 4 Quote Link to post

gurtwurz 792
Another great vid si mate. Interesting that you say to carry your rifle muzzle up on a sling, I've always done that since carrying .303s in cadets, and find it a bit wierd carrying it pointing down at the comps, mainly for the reasons you've stated (and the problem of a full length silenced barrel dragging in the sodding mud...) Have you thought about doing a gun safety special for new comers to the sport? Cheers bud, Wurz 2 Quote Link to post

Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
great stuff again Si mate another thumbs up from me just ordered another 97 in .177 so il have both calibres to choose from also if i can add, i personally have always carried my rifles muzzle up on a sling, if its raining remember to flip your obj.lens scope cap closed tho lol but if its in the slip/bag i like to carry it muzzle down just feels more comfy for me personally. obviously anytime the rifle is in the slip it is 100% double checked UNLOADED. not getting arrested just for sake of having to cross a road or something and not being bothered to unload fully (not just decock)the rifle !! just not worth it SAFETY FIRST Quote Link to post
