Ray Mears 272 Posted October 24, 2012 Report Share Posted October 24, 2012 and thats why it so hard for people to agree to take people out i for one cannot remember the last time i went out and didnt have to be on edge all the time about being caught etc. then there is people who have been lucky enough to be taken out were they dont have to watch there back all night have peace of mind and after all that they abuse it its beyond me it really is True mate, I've had a few people out off here and none have gone back on my land although they had a few hours travelling in the first place i cant understand it mate spoiling the sport in my opinion why wouldnt they contact you again if they wanted to go out on that land and ask you if you fancied it rather than poaching someones hard earned? i have nothing in the way off land at all i just go were i want i dont nick anything i dont leave gates open i take what i catch and leave nothing but footprints but i no one day i will be caught and i will have to face the music and thats how it is edited to say its no ones permission that i no of You poacher , I'm lucky that most of my permission has come through my work and the lads I've taken out have all been decent (even GrCh is decent in real life ), but they know if they ever want a day or night out again they just need to get in touch with me i think even if i did manage to get permission i would still end up somewere were i shoudnt be i am just a natural born fence jumper :laugh: Aye and there will be more than a few like you mate. If folk are being honest we've all jumped a few fences. I trie to jump an electric one and flew over never mind jump. People who are quick off the mark on inviting people who they don't know well onto there ground, are asking for it too happen IMO how ever wrong it is, if folk would just slow down and f*****g think for a second nearly all these incidents could have been avoided.. Iv never had anyone out who would do it & those I have had out I'd trust them to work the ground with out me if they asked, that's because there good friends and not just random acquaintances. Ive been brought out by a few lads of this site and by others and would never go back to any mans ground. At the end of the day your just shooting yourself in the foot and blackening your name. Most of them just say oh no weve lost the dog or weve shot a rabbit and it run over there. I dont really care tbh aslong as they respect the farmers and the dogs are under control. Imo the worse ones are when you invite them to YOUR land a few times and they are going oh ive got permission here there everywhere and theynever invite you up. That really fucks me off.
