Qb78

Is my qb78 good enought to hunt with I do a lot of falconry and only use gun maybe once a week for hawk food I dot have. Money for better gun at moment so u have make do with what I have got

 

It is .22. I took it to Rainford field sports an it's shoot 11.5 I have kill rabbits with head shots with it just wondering if there anything I can do to improve it or any tips on hunting with gun thanks kev

That little rifle will indeed serve you well for what you want to use it for.

CO2 in winter will (well especially in VERY cold temps) will affect it slightly, so a Zero check before each hunt will be in order :thumbs: just like the rest of us with springers and PCP's do :yes:

 

I've got myself a lovely lil 78 to refurbish :yes:

And that scope is way more than enough to see you right :thumbs:

Ive had one of these i had the thumbhole stock with brass parts check the ukchineseairgun forum speak to geriatrix welshwilly and jetski top blokes i polished all internals drilled the valve out and put a welshwilly seal kit on it was supurb and as for keeping the co2 warm use them hand warmers mint and as for converting them to pcp just buy a pcp much easier atb porky

I converted a 79 to pcp for £74. The two parts just screwed into the paintball threads. A 78 could have a remote line or pcp rated 'salty' tube. Both are very straight forward. Cheaper than a hatsan at44/webley raider pcp too.

Hi I have one and it's doing 11ft/lb after little fettling and takes rabbits no bother. A very good under rated rifle and for the cost u can't beat them. As said just check ur zero at different temp. It's been said it takes 20c to drop 1ft/lb so nothing to worry about really.
