arcticgun 4,548
flask of hot coffee,,,,just in case of any loong waits and track downs, always pack a bit extra scran just ion case as well, could be long days ahead Quote Link to post
Lee C 55
Layer I find are best, if walking you get hot so can take a layer off if standing over ferrets for a long time you can keep the layers on. I don't spend much on wellies any more due to knackering two expensive pairs in as many weeks one set on hidden barbwire and one on hawthorn bushes! Warm hat not fur lined as the bird will be no you like a flash!! Mini snacks are good just incase the day is longer than you think. Also if ferreting now I tend to say no to the just one last hole before leaving as the ferrets seem to always kill down on that last hole! Sods law !! So I make the decision and stick with it. Good luck for the season Lee C Quote Link to post
arcticgun 4,548
wellies are the pits, especially when hawking I ve used lace up brasher boots this year and so far no regrets, got some scapra's for the deep winter, get cold feet and youyr days over, layers is a great idea as well mate. Wingbeat 2
Be very careful if drying birds with hairdryer's as some of the new ones have Teflon fans that give of Toxic gas when hot and will kill your bird ................ Alec Quote Link to post
