mia 497 4
hi there,i was going to say ,dont buy those fuds on reading the post but it sounds too late,i bought 60 of them last year and i agree that they do look good but when we were decoying on stubble we soon realised that there was something that the geese didnt like when approaching the pattern,we spent ages trying to figure it out,we even had our spead in family groups,we had previously watch live birds on the floor and its right they are in groups of between 2 and nine,we think that birds incoming are put of with the thin narrow head,if you look at a fud from the front or the back there is no head just a thin line, one day i got so frustrated ,we had plenty coming in but then flaring away,i told my mate to get all those decoys in cos i was going home on the quad to get the full shells with heads, that i did,by the time i got back it was 9.30 and time was running out that morning,we set out 3 dozen and what a difference,i think that morning turned out to be one of the best of the season,so hense the reason i sold all my fuds on ebay
David Dey 2
yeah looked at the foamies not really sure about them,,,, have ordered 18 fud decoys and was hopeing someone would tell me there a good job and not crap lol,,, Hi. I've used them for a couple of years now, they didn't seem to work too well at first so we decided to add a bit more white to the tails, this made a hell of a difference and thats all we use now. elmathud 25-06 0
Hi, I brought 60 pink footed decoys when they first ever came over about 7yrs ago, they pull the geese in BUT that it they look the nuts untill u look over the top of them they have no necks this will put the geese off instantly, i use to use over 200 decoys but only used these FUDs 4 times to prove they didnt work on there own or in a pattern they just dont like them when over the pattern, wasted £500, if anything they need to bulk out the necks it might make the differance ??????. I would never buy them again but the duck/wigeon/pigeon all the smaller bird sizes seem to work well. Not the news you wanted to hear but sorry but thats my opinion.
