Bad Back Remedies

Recommended Posts

I've had a bad back for about a week now. I know it's my bed causing it as when I kip on the floor, it's not as bad. Once I've been up far about an hour, it's bearable, but until then it's excruciating. Once I feel up to mooching round the shops, I'll buy a new bed.

I'd like to know if any of you have any "country remedies" you'd recommend like rubbing a rabbit's spleen on the affected area etc.

Cheers.

Place your left hand on the dinner table. Take a large hammer and smashed it down on your thumb. It wont help your back but by f**k you'll forget about it for 10 mins.........

Windowlene..on repeat prescription

Been using them like sweets. Not a great fan of pills though.

What strength?

It says on the box Co-codamol 8/500. 500mg

Thats 8mg of codeine and 500mg of paracetamol. Not sure if you can buy stronger than that over the counter, the ones I've got here are 30/500's for my knee pain. You can take up to 400mg of ibuprofen alongside any paracetamol based medicine. Just done a quick search, I think Paramol is the strongest over the counter painkiller you can buy, it's got dihydrocodeine in it alongside the paracetamol..

Cheers. My box of paramol is long since empty, so started on the co-co. Been taking ibuprofen as well. I'll just have to be a brave soldier

till it gets better. Unless anyone has a better suggestion that A: doesn't involve exercise and B: doesn't involve reducing my waistline.

Have you tried a bonesetter.

Famous one over here called O'Neill (pronunced Nail) of Myshal. People travel from all over Ireland to see him.

Obvioulsy your not going to come over here to have your back sorted out, but there might be an equivalent to Nail in your area?
