ferret15 0
But as dog breeders apply scientific precision to their age-old art, they find that the quest for genetic perfection comes with unforeseen consequences. And with DNA tests on the way for humans, the lessons of intervening in the nature of dogs may ultimately bear as much on us as on our species' best friends. thats what happens when you f**k with mother nature one step away from cloning
skycat 6,173
...and think of the problems that must occur when a small boned dog like the Whippet carries that sort of muscle: I pity the poor dogs.

Phil Lloyd 10,738
what a load of shit, no way.... someone was taking the piss me thinks, racing whippets my arse. Looks like Fatima Whitbread to me.... Seriously,....the BWRA whippets have carried ''Bull blood' for generations,...it is the inclusion of this questionable improvement that has prompted some folk to call these specialist bred , non-pedigree racers,..'Hard Blood' whippets .Their longer backs and general 'Greyhoundy' demeanor separates them from their KC registered cousins,...they are also,...faster.... I've had several pups that exhibited a 'bit of bully' at an early age, and these powerful muscular speedsters went on to become superlative rabbiting dogs. My old pal T.C from Portsmouth is an expert at picking out a pup that is destined to go 'over the weight' or perhaps favour the heavily built bull terrier physique. For a purist racing man,..this type of animal is no longer required ... But,.honestly,..this revelation is nothing new..... All the best to ALL Crosses,..cheers,.CHALKWARREN.... The Ferret 0
Disgusting is how i'd sum it up. It's just not right! A dog should be allowed to be as 'natural' as possible. Am I wrong? Ferret

austin 0
Its a belgian blue (cattle) of the canine world , although limosins, charolais and even a few of our native breeds such as aberdeen angus have gone that way, (muscle bound morons), mind you they were bred for the table, so perhaps the market for these dogs is on the table in china or such like who still eat dogs - just dont tell janet street porter from the f word or she will be serving it on a tasting table at crufts or similar like she did the horse meat.
