Without wishing to offend..........why would somebody called " working bull and terrier " be so bothered about " a straighter profile " and importing one " that looks like those " and be calling dogs

Posted this before in another section i know, but here's an e.b.t. x i owned close to thirty years ago now...an absolute b*****d of a dog. I've been around all of the bull and terrier types over the y

‘Woodview Bronagh’ - as you say, note the physique very similar to that of a pit bull, just after a swim.

Capable looking Wheaten.

great great grandparent on Dam’s side English bull ‘red hand of Ulster’

Great grandparent on Sire’s side ‘Border Bess’ trialed 18 out of 18 never lifted.

That's some head, any full body shots?

Would love a dog like that. 'Remember speaking with Glen years ago on the phone (when I first moved here, green and stupid lol) and had it I was gonna get jumping on the backs of pigs with these types ?

That boy there is a specimen ;)

Yes I think I remember now mastiff type heads I think I read before

I believe it's all bull and mastiff headed types and it's something to do with running them free. I could be wrong but if you have it on a lead, you can hunt with them.

Looking at pictures of some of those old trials dogs always makes me think they must have been really game animals to have performed the way they did with such poor physical confirmation....that one on the previous page with all the trophies you would think walking to the end of the street would be an accomplishment so to have showed gameness is incredible really.

I don’t really understand people’s views on the trials they don’t seem dissimilar to what the Europeans are doing with the Jagds artificial earths to a badger under rules you get a certificate now almost everyone says that is rubbish doesn’t count for anything but when it’s the trials it’s the best thing ever is it rose tinted spectacles looking at the past it is one genuinely better than the other again I’m not knocking the trials I’m sure they were a good day out and a test and I would be a them if they were on today but I genuinely can’t see much of a difference
