pipa 299
well we got to our new permission today around 8.30am and it looked very promising, 1 big grass field with hundreds of holes all over the place, no brambles or nettles in sight and easy to dig sandy ground, but the dog wasnt showing signs of marking until we tried a fare few warrens? eventually her nose kicked in and we were off, 100yrd and 50 yrd long net out and surrounded the holes, first 2 bunnys had mixy so it wasnt the best start and didnt look good? but it started to change as we tried different warrens and got some big healthy ones, at one big warren my hob poley got stuck in big time nailing 3 bunnys and kiilling them by biting the back of there necks all within 15mins all dug to, he dont mess about! packed in around 3.30 pm and ended up with 13 in total, i thought we would have had a lot more by the amount of well used holes but it wasnt to be... had a good day out and thats what it all about. chris 2 Quote Link to post

pipa 299
The land owner told us it ain't been ferreted for a few years, but i suspect someone's been sneaking on and doing a bit at some point? Unless mixy has taken its toll on the numbers? Chris Quote Link to post
