stevenshire1981 0
Hello Everyone Im just wondering if anyone has any information on what size of tank is better, and what equipment i will need to refill my air arms s400? I have always been useing spring loaded rifles untill recently. As it will save me from running back and forward to get the refills. Can any one recommend the best place to get a good deal on these items please. Quote Link to post
AirgunGuy 362
You'll get the most fills out of a higher capacity tank. Best to go for a 12 litre 300 bar There was a deal on these tanks somewhere recently but i couldn't remember where it was when a mate was looking for a cylinder. I'll have another look Edited October 21, 2012 by AirgunGuy 1 Quote Link to post

ghillies 209
theres a thing about getting a 300bar bottle to fill 232bar guns, a lot do it, and the odd one has a mishap along with putting the shits up the people watching. basically you'll get more fills with a 300bar bottle but, on a 232bar fill gun its a case of not wacking the throttle valve open because although on paper the presures the same sort of thing, there is a gas 'velocity' diference, i.e. higher presure through the same orafice means the gas travels quicker, as in wacks the gun harder if you open it full and fast.(idealy no problem, not so idealy owch where yu fingers gone and is that my eye there?). regaurding the size/capacity, how often do you go? how big can you carry, a 3 liter gets me about but not that many fills compaired to a 12liter, i can lug the 3 liter about no probs any where any time sort of thing. a 11 or 12 liter gets heavey if you have to go up stairs or walk any where. as well as, most shops charge the same price regaurdless of capacity so a dumpy 22liter will be very cost effective..and bloody heavety too lol. dont forget to tell the fill shop its for land use, saves the 2 and 1/2 year mot. how to work out the fills... if your gun fills to up to about 180-190bar you can only fill from the tank untill the presure equols, e.g. when the bottles at 180..you cant put 190 in the gun no matter how hard you try. anything over 190-200bar fill is usualy a 300bar diver bottle.
