rabbit farming.

Recommended Posts

well, i got on to the dep. of argi today.

after been put on hold for nearly 40 mins, and put from person to person,

they were no help at all. two people never heard of rabbit farming for meat.

they knew about the pet side of it alright and were willing to help there.

they are going to get back to me tomorrow with some research,

so we will see how it goes.

atb, j.

A sheep farmer I know is farming more rabbits than sheep, I'm not quite sure he realises or appreciates the business oppertunity though

That would make sense if he's located well, near population centres. Plenty of markets, not high milage sparse populations areas. Big chains are a shower of c**ts, only ever interested in squeezing th

plenty to go at round here jg close to m1 motorway and most major citys / towns

Old guy in the village im from has hutches of them in his back garden you often see him out with a hessian bag and a sickle cutting stuff to feed them but he eats them :D

Another guy has loads of english rabbits and all the pet shops come to him and pay a fiver a youngster great earnings tax free when he's selling a hundred a time

I have often thought about doing this, they are ready to sell at 6 weeks old arent they? would be a lot of effort and time for this amount of rabbits though, plus a fair bit of expense to

The guys a retired joiner to trade his gardens full of hutches to let them have there litters and the rest are in 6x8 sheds he opens the door and its comical seeing rabbits looking down at you , hes got guinea pigs as well in pigeon crates gets loads of stuff from grocers and just runs the young on till he gets a call , he never knocks them back always come out and i will see what i can do
