GR , you may have to put the male to the female once a day , depending how he is with her and if you have to do that then you may aswell have three females in seperate cages keep them on wire floors with fresh water and good grub and rear the young on at least turkey crumbs or better still partridge crumb the comment made by "frankolin" , kept by some people they are calling is because muslims keep them to remind them of home and the frankolin is said to resite a verse from the koran ( i think thats right ) also if frankolin who commented is asian get him to give you some pointers ,..........they have been keeping them longer than we have and have developed different strains of birds
francolin 449
raymond i dont have much experience of the breed, and i aint asian, but did breed large amounts of quail at one time and types of game, this brought me into contact with asian lads that liked the francolins, black and greys seemed there favorites, also there is some i think known as yellow throated.some were kept as house pets, that run around like a pet dog and had a small cage for sleeping in ect, think some hold comp/shows for francolins in there home country, but as you stated all my quail ect were kept on wire.
