Ideation 8,216
Finished work yesterday and got home about five, decided to have an hour out with the dog, and take one of the jills a long. I took Tilly, who is probably my favourite of the nine ferrets, a good, solid grafter, and a proper wee character, shes the softest ferret i have ever owned. Anyway, i headed for a local patch of woodland and let the dog have a good mooch about and explore, tracked a fox for a while, which we never saw, and eventually got a couple of marks on small sets. Only had the two, one from each set, but it was an enjoyable hour, out on my own with the dog and the woodland noises, you can't really beat it! Unfortunatly i didnt take the camera (forgot) so only a couple of dodgy pics at home. 2 Quote Link to post
Malt 379
I like the small woodland sets, where the cover aint too thick. Got a bollocking for coming home with my brand new cats caked in mud on Friday after taking the lurcher off piste down a small wooded valley checking some holes when I took him out for a walk! Jumped a small stream and went up over my ankles in a bog which was on the other side! Quote Link to post

Jumped a small stream and went up over my ankles in bog which was on the other side! I fecking hate getting wet feet! Managed to avoid it last two days, despite walking in streams etc. But i did lose a welly for a bit today, went for a rabbit in a net and my foot got stuck in the mud and my wellie came off, so was hoping about trying to dispatch the bunny and keep my foot dry. zac1988 18
do you ever tack him lamping and if so how does he do Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
I have done a bit of lamping with him, but dont have the numbers local (where i mostly lamp) to show much, but last time out he killed five out of the five rabbits we saw. For a whippet he is decent enough. Was a b*****d for hunting up though, and very much a one man dog. 1 Quote Link to post
