stevenshire1981 0
why would you look forward to snow and frost? not the best conditions to run dogs in as its good for useing the air rifle in the snow and frost. my old lurcher had no trouble running in the snow but maybe his large paws helped as is dad was a x between a bearded colie and a border colie. also in snow its easier to follow tracks. stevenshire1981 0
Aye mostly grilse rivers mate. you do get the occasional big one in double figures. this year wasnt to good wae all the rain we had, most a the grilse ran on up in to the hills tae spawn. we need flash spates and when that happens we get good sport. catrine is good for watching them jump over the dam. do you know the prices to fish the nith? day tickets? as i know its a good river. AirgunGuy 362
I usually only fish at Upper Nithsdale Association from now and into Nov as everywhere else is finished. You can get on there for 25-30 quid a day. Some really nice fly water and always fish about at this time of year. They're usually coloured up by now but i put most of my fish back anyway so it's good sport on a light fly rod
