Pellet weight in springers

Recommended Posts

The results are finally in... Bisley Magnums (10.65 grains) are the most accurate pellet I've found so far. Due to lousy weather, I've been shooting groups at 15 yards (I can hide in the barn out of the rain, and hang my pellet trap on a handily-placed tree). The Bisleys make a ragged hole, the only pellet to do this consistently.

Haven't been able to get hold of any RWS or AA pellets in .177, so the story will no doubt continue. I'll also be trying the Bisleys out to 50 yards when the weather improves.

Thanks again for all the input.

I wouldn't wanna bet money but I reakon when you out as fields through it then your group will tighten up even more, aa fields are a phenomenal pellet, although quite soft in .177 so be careful! If you haven't got any by my next batch ill send some over to you free for a test

Hi Craig.

Thanks for the generous offer! I managed to get some AA Fields and H&N FTT pellets in .22 when I was over in the UK, but couldn't find either of them in .177. They seem pretty accurate in my .22, although I haven't had too much chance to really field-test them, since I've been concentrating on finding the best pellet for my Weihrauch .177.

Do you have a supplier who ships AA Fields or H&N FTT pellets to Europe? I'd be happy to order some for myself, just haven't been able to find anyone who'll ship outside of the UK, or anyone in France who stocks them.
