Just wondering if someone can write a bit about the disease, such as signs to look for how to dispose of the rabbits with it, can it transfer to your dog, or can your dogs eat rabbit with mixy??

swollen and puffy eyes usaly under weight ( bag of bones )

no neither you or your dogs can catch it

 

yes you can eat them and so can your dogs

but why you would wish to beats me :blink:

 

to dispose them

dispatch them take them to the midle of the field

and leave them for the foxs

Then as the foxes tuck into it, jump out on the foxes with your pack and eat them instead! lol.

Further to what Bob posted, if you have any doubts about a rabbit, check the condition of the liver.

 

Rabbits, especially bucks often pick up scratches and lumps/bumps from fighting and general injury. A clean liver with no spotting or blemishes is usually a healthy one.

 

But of course, if you have any doubt, leave it. It won't go to waste.

:no: We ve got it all round us , it died out for a few years but came back last year, its a viral desease transmitted from one rabbit to the next by the flea who lives on the rabbits blood, its an awful thing with sores on the eyes and blindness, if you see one knock it over the head. :cry:

The genitals are also often swollen and sore.

Well he has been doing a lot of digging in the garden of late :D

 

Sounds like you may possibly have contracted it.
