Guest Walsher
Hi everyone, Im 16 and my 16 month old lurcher is now ready mentally for foxes and I want to enter her, But the question I have is I want to start her on cubs but how big should the cubs be? I know of 3 litters now that are between 1/2 grown and 3/4 grown Should I let her run one on the lamp or wait till there all fully grown in september? Sorry for all the questions but I have no experience of running foxes or deer? I dont have another dog thats is killing foxes to enter her alongside either Thanks Quote Link to post

Yes mate its legal to kill foxes with dogs not deer though  There is no close season on fox but most people including me stop and let them breed Lamperjohn I disagree with you, a few big cubs can give a young dog the confidence to kill adult ones in the future, but for a dog already killing foxes there is no test Quote Link to post
Royston2 0
I know dogs that will kill cubs and not tackle an adult fox your better of waiting another 3 4 months your dog will be older and more mature and so will the cubs personally i take no pride in killing cubs and believe me to enter my dogs i do my up most but certainly not killing cubs unless it`s pest control Quote Link to post

leec 132
boxers dont just fight for titles they build there selves up to it she untried on fox so why not build her up instead of dropping her in at the deep end might be wrong i dont no but the lad has not got another dog to run her with so why not help her out abit with 1 or 2 cubs Quote Link to post
