patterdalejoel 669 Posted October 18, 2012 Report Share Posted October 18, 2012 i want to use some sort of clear sheteting on some wire hut doors to stop drafts, is that clear corrugated sheeting decent? does it magnify the heat like on a greenhouse? i saw some clear perspex type sheeting on a video, but cant find any like it, only the really expensive perspex used for furniture? anyone any ideas or suggestions? got to look smart, dont want it to look cobbled together. cheers Quote Link to post Share on other sites

The round pens and square pens i had, i put 3 in a row with a 2 foot gap in between, just in case, and surrounded the bottom half with black plastic, to stop any fowl get ruined when the free-ranging stags started turning, and on the roof's i had 1 long piece if corrugated tin, weighed down with a breeze-block on top of each pen, and these done me well, and lasted to boot!!! That's what I mean mate, no good, way to hot for the birds in the summer, if your pens are made correctly they will be light and airy enough. they are light and airy enough, just too draughty and i dont want them to be draughty. and still want light to be let in, im not going to cover the whole door in it, will still have air circulation. thats what i wanted to know about the corrugated perspex, its too hot, thought it would be but didnt know. will have a gander at this polycarbonate jobby. patterdalejoel 669 Posted October 18, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 18, 2012 just out of curiosity patterdalejoel, are these flypens, broodpens or moveable pens? they are shape of flypens. basically a 6 x 8 garden shed split down the middle with two internal wire doors, then the main shed door. shed is shut every night and opened every morning, want draught excluder during day as there is little air flow with shed door shut. shaped like flypens, but used for all different stages. i planned to take it off for spring summer put it on with tie wraps so can even just put it on on a windy day without much hassle.
