Is that physically possible? There's a big height and weight difference between A whippet bitch and a collie/grey.

there's a big difference in weight and size between a greyhound and a bedlington but people still breed them...don't think a collie grey on a whippet will be much of a problem...but what do I no? Atb

Yes but the bedlington is always the sire.

not always

But is best.

why ???

i would have thought there would be less complications from a greyhound dam to a beddy sire than vise versa and would the offpsring not be alot bigger from the greyhound dam?? there should be little problem from a whippet dam having a litter to a 1st cross collie/grey..

I have a 1st cross bedlington whippet and the sire was the whippet 21tts the dam belington from show stock 16tts I no the whippet isn't as big as a greyhound but it worked well and had 6 healthy pups with no problems so I can't see the problem :)

Greyhound dog about 27 inches to the shoulder? Weight 70 lbs?

Bedlington bitch about 18 inches to the shoulder? Weight 25 lbs?

Beddie dog on top the only way surely? And even then with a raised platform.

i know of a dog 28/29" that lined a bitch 21 1/2" without a problem ...

size shouldnt be an issue when mating imo not when its so easy AI..

Safer and easier for the bitch.

I didn't say it wasn't possible, just best.
