m.hubbard 1
hi all iv just sold my bsa lightning and as going to upgrade to a pcp but when i was in the shop i fell in love with this rifle i was just wondering what people thought of it ? what i think so fare you wouldnt want it on a day trip as boy it's heavy action is vry nice and smooth trigger my have to ajust it but very nice it came with a tasco 4x32 abit battered but i was hitting very tight groupes after afew turns of the turrets . i payed £149 for gun and scope and got a bag and pellets at the same time so i rekon the £172 i payed was a bargain. .m Quote Link to post

AirgunGuy 362
That's a steal at that price mate. How's the condition and have had it over a chrono? At that price i'd shoot it for a while to get used to it then get it tuned Quote Link to post
fry 209
to be honest i am a bit of a spring rifle convert after getting a prosport and after hearing pianoman singing the 77s praises on here relentlessly if i was in the market for a 3rd rifle this would be it! and for that money and another 70 bob for a v-mach you cant really go wrong even if its under powered ect. cant believe a shop let it go that cheap. bargain. pianoman 3,587
I'm saying little on this one! .... It'll only be a repetition! Pianoman 1 Quote Link to post
m.hubbard 1
snds like i was right to buy this rifle the guy in the shop chronoed it at 10.5 with 16 grain pellet not the most poerful rifle but with how acurate it is i dont think it will matter. i was going to have in tuned was i watched huntyertv addition on it . scope wise ill have to wait for a new one as bills to pay first. but i was going for somthing simple like the nikko sterling mountmaster 4x40 ao as its mainly going to be used for close range ratting .m Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
You were definitely right to buy this rifle. Try H&N FIELD TARGET TROPHY with it m.Hubbard. 5.53mm head size. They are blisteringly accurate in mine. 10.5 ft/lbs should be very sweet and smooth. No problems. Pianoman. Quote Link to post

AirgunGuy 362
AA Fields and Accupels are superb in my 97k. Dont worry about the power....its absolutely fine. Try a lighter pellet like Accupel or Falcon Acc +...you may get another .5FPE ;-) Quote Link to post

m.hubbard 1
when i got it back a had a quick play and i had to ajust the scope as it was about 2inch under but once it was done the h-point was spot on for the short distance im looking for at the mo . iv got a gun club round the corner so was iv got a weekend off ill head down there .ill order a sample pack from pellax and see what is best. iv been out in the garden tonight after the rats that are making a mess of the place and oh my god 3 shots 3 rats and i love how much of a thud these pellets make when they conect with bone .m 1 Quote Link to post
