Im looking for a bit of info on gain record breaker, is it suitable for feeding the pup when I stop feeding puppy and sapling or should I just change him over to gain 20?

Pup is 9mths old now and hopefully will be working before the season is over

I also supplement his diet with a lot of raw

Here is a bit of info off their site on Gain Record Breaker

Here

Does anyone know what the meat content is in Gain 28, as it doesn't say on their site, it does list the ingredients on the Record Breaker and the Puppy & Sapling, although it doesn't say how much total Chicken is in there, but not on the Gain 28.

The Record Breaker has Chicken, Chicken Meal and Chicken Fat.

The Puppy & Sapling has Chicken Meal and Chicken Fat

The Gain 28 just has Chicken Fat according to the info on their site.

The more research im doing via various forums it would seem record breaker is a better complete food for dogs working and has the same protein content as gain 28.

But if you prefer to feed barf in addition to complete your better off feeding gain 28

Im also hearing dogs gain weight if your not watchfull when feeding record breaker

Only fed raw on occasion, wont be weaning pup into record breaker or 28 until hes a bit older as hes only 9mths but I have to give my supplier advance notice soon so she can order it in for me and stop ordering puppy and sapling.

If the rest fo their pet foods range is anythign to go by then the bag it comes in has more nutritional value.

It lists the ingredients in descending order but gives no value or percentages of the ingredients. In their pet foods section they list that their adult dog food contains just 23% chicken. the next largest percentage is rice at 20% which is totally useless for dogs as their intestinal tract isn't long enough to do anything with it to gain any value and the rest is just a mixture of bits. So their top two ingredients on equates to 43% of the food. What actual value do the rest hold? Well they are mainly grains and cereals which again are useless to a dog. I bet if you fed your dog 10kg of this stuff you'd probably get 9Kg out the back end in no time at all.

Here is the list of Gain Record Breaker ingredients:

Chicken (chicken what? Skin, mean, feet, beaks?), Chicken Meal (ground up scrapings), brewers rice (cereal), whole grain ground corn (maize) (cereal), chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols and vitamin E), corn gluten meal (cereal), beet pulp (cereal), fish meal, natural chicken flavour (chicken is natuirally flavoured like chicken, in fact it tastes just like chicken), egg product (so not an egg then, more like dried egg whites or the shell), canola oil (an unregulated product, do you really want your hunting/racing buddy to consume an unknonw substance?), rice flour (never heard of a bunch of starving dogs savaging a miller to get to his finest ground wholemeal or my dogs knocking abotu whne I am baking some loaves).

funny as we all know the very best cana beat raw feeding but for some such as grey trainers with large kennels there really do need to use large amounts of completes barf and brown bread is as good if not the best ,the tried and tested completes are usually used as a home mix with flesh .atb bunnys..

Maize and Beet Pulp are no good for dogs.
