Hi im looking to do some beating this year how can i find out if there is any available will nobs tell me if i join im in lancashire cheers

I follow nobs on twitter, they've advertised several "beaters required" ads on there.

same i joined Nobs just to get on the forum. a few friends and i have said before that the owners of Nobs must be laughing probably pays for their shoots in winter.

i joined Nobs years ago when everything was basically free, over the years it seems to have transformed into a commercial organisation with salaried staff....payment seems to be very much to the fore with no guarantees of anything!

I joined NOBs as it also included insurance for when I am out beating. I also follow them on twitter and have seen a few ads for beating work.

 

The best way to get work is to ask,ask and ask again through contacting gun, gundog clubs etc which Is what I did along with looking on gunsonpegs.com.

 

I know beat on two shoots and through that got another offer today.

To be fair to nobs though (and I'm not a member) they must have far more beaters looking for shoots than shoots looking for beaters. Some of the beaters on the shoot I pick up on have been there for decades.
