derbylad1 293
Got a ticket this morning for being on phone whilst driving, however my phone was still at home. the feckers had just made it up, the lying twats. so now i have to take it to court. there is camera evidence from their car but they wouldn't show it to me...funny eh. and they speak to you like shit as well. its wrong how they think they can talk to you like that. there's less corruption with the afghan police i've worked with. and now that i am taking it to court, as anyone ever had this kind of experince? Nik_B 3,790
Not the same but I've been crapped on by them in the past and treated worse than a criminal. Good luck with the court case

rob190364 2,594
surely there must be some comeback on a police force if they keep taking things to court and getting it thrown out? are they just thinking you'll confess even if you hadn't done it, just to avoid going to court? I can't get my head around the mentality of a copper wanting to arrest someone who hasn't done anything when there's people out there who are actually committing crimes and getting away with it! tegater 789
I am amazed that they have pursued it, when you must have told them you dont have a phone on you. The first thing I would want to know is where is the phone. As said before though, they will check your records, and they will be able to pinpoint where your phone was, at that particular time, even if you were not using it. milegajo 595
Old Queenies Jubilee must have them scrounging for funds. Her Majesty's Police, Her Majesty's Court, The Crown prosecution, You. The House always wins. If they don't its because they want to keep the illusion of that people get 'justice'. All you get is a lighter wallet. Invoice them! If they don't pay up put them on statutory demand. The beauty is, a statutory demand is corporate and bankruptcy law, much harder for em to wriggle out of.
derbylad1 293
yeah they took my phone number. and when i said you can search my van for my phone there answer was, "well if you want, you can let the court decide and that might cost you upto £1000". i've sent off the paperwork to take it to court, its just the way they think they can just do this. walshie 2,804
They'd do YOU for wasting police time if they got the chance. I wonder if they'll do themselves for it?
Waz 4,266
So they should have no evidence.

derbylad1 293
no they have to evidence at all...just their words and "observation". nothing on camera, no calls/texts would have been made
