RossGym 1
In some way following on from the tread on hollow point pellets in the general discussion section, I have now been out with the RSW Super H-Points and my .22 Ultra. I wasn't necessarly intending to hunt, but when I was up at the unit we have our work gym in I cought a glimps of a rat running over towards the container that the shoot keep their game bird feed in. Several hours later (including a break to train), I had four rather large dead rats. Some slightly un scientific, and slightly ghoulish feeling testing later (not a lot of respect shown for the dead rats), I can say that the h points deffinately hit with more noise, and tend to move the target more. I am certainly more confident now that the h-points will have more chance of puting the target down if they hit. There is the question of overall accuracy at longer ranges, but 100% reconmended for rats at rat like ranges. Notes on the hunting itself - all shot at about 20-25m, the first two were in daylight (albeit dwindling for the secound), and the second two using my new scope mounted gun light (Mole Valley Farmers @ £40 - amazing value). 1 Quote Link to post
