His 20 month old now, my pure saluki and coming on well, plenty of stamina ect, 26 and a half''.

Brookie off here bred him, sound man is Brookie. :thumbs:

ther wouldnt be many breeds faster than a good full sal. and they can keep it up .. ! they wouldnt have been bred for x thousand years to catch gazzell if they wornt quck

catching and killing game was never the problem, like I said physically he was right, it was bits like recall etc where he failed or simply learning to end the course when he had the better of thehare

Imo full salukis lack speed other wise you wouldnt need to x with a gh or whippet

At the moment, he seems very fast and leaps as he runs, he can cover a lot of ground quick and go on and on and on, when he returns, he is hardly out of breath!

This morning, i had him out galloping for a few mile across fields, then road walking for about 5 mile, when he got back, he was running about the garden like a headless chicken, playing with my pup..!

He is still playful and this seems to be the norm with a lot of saluki males, they take their time to mature.

Another thing i have noticed, he is very agile and sure footed, compared to my lurchers.

He runs over rough ground very well, with stones ect covering it, hard ground is no bother to him, along with road running.
