Waz 4,266
The article says this is due to pressure from animal rights activists! Unbloodybeliavable I bet WH Smith is turning in his grave. Worked for the family years ago, all the sons shoot/shot. Some good memories, beating on the shoot, exercising the hares and pulling the deer, Expressos with Lady Hambledon.

tegater 789
I agree with Lanesra, this poll means nothing, it is just a reader poll. Our only hope is that the senior management of WH Smith actually look at it. The way forward for me is to do what the anti's have done. Write to the CEO and put your pont of view forward, lobby BASC and the other fieldsports associations, and get them earning a crust! I for one am going to do the above. I am also going to go into WHSmith with my 11 year old, and going to fill up my basket/trolley with as many goods as possible from the biggest selection of goods, and get my lad to try and purchase Shooting times for example, infront of me. When they refuse to sell it, I will make my protest and leave the shop, leaving them to sort out the goods and return them to the shelves. It may not do much, but I bet it gets back to the manager, and I bet the manager passes that to the area manager. The more times that happens, the higher up the tree, the word will go. Malt 379
The article says this is due to pressure from animal rights activists! Read a while back that the LACS were going to target WH Smiths customers with leaflet campaigns outside stores. Looks like Smiths bottled it to save the agro... Where are the organisations like the BASC & the countryside alliance when things like this happen? They should be out threatening to counter shit like this with leaflet campaigns of their own, but no they just sit back taking their yearly subs thinking that things like that are beneath them.. I am also going to write to them, think their website is down right at the moment. The stupidity of this is unbelievable....how much money do smelly crusties spend in WH Smiths? I used to spend a fair bit of money in that shop.

I really do wonder what I am paying for with my subscription to BASC sometimes. 2 billion pounds a year industry versus zero from the bunny huggers
