sound mods

Hi everyone I have a 243 Remington 700 and I am now looking at sound mods I have narrowed my choices down to the wildcat P8 or the ase North star and am stuck on picking one does any one have any advice to help me pick

ASE Utra North star is a cracker and parkerised finish if it is the one you are looking at. I have used it on .308 as well as wildcat.

Both you have suggested are good, you have the lighter DM80 option also

Yeh I think so its the one that comes over the barrel was there much sound difference between them

Hi shootlodge I am looking for a bit of weight to help keep the barrel down and does the dm80 come over the barrel to help with balance

I got an ASE Utra North Star on my .243 Tikka T3.

I don't think it moderates the sound that well, but does decrease the recoil significantly.

Overall, its not bad for the price.

The Wildcat does for me, but make sure you get the COMPACT version, other moderators are available!

Another yes for Wildcat p8 i have two both compacts they are very good and well made. Woodydog.

I will hopefully be picking up a Third Eye Tactical Spartan this week, by all accounts they are as effective as they look

Thanks for all your comments I have just got back from Gardner's guns and ordered a ASE north star I pick it up next weekend I hope it does the job well

Dont rule out P,E,S silencers I have one on my 6.5x55 they do smaller ones too,the north star I have on my .223 and it is spot on good little silencer,
