foxdigger13 114
The dog was out of control but stabbing it 23 times???? Well does it really matter if he stabbed it once or 23 times? Perhaps he was not a skilled swordsman? Or samurai?
Lab 10,979
Yip well done...........right thing to do and i'd do the same if i thought my dog was in serious danger. Problem here is this woman is guarenteed to go out and get another f*****g dog and that one will be just as bad.
scothunter 12,609
Perhaps it took that to get it off. From what I read it was still alive when the cops got there.

Thats the only bit that bothers me that it suffered a bit. I know the guy would be raging but 23 times he should have slit its f*****g throat.

jonah. 775
Well done, that man! It boils my piss to see dogs running out of control causing havoc, endangering other dogs and children. i do think it is time all dogs are kept on leads in public places and any found running loose should be scooped and dealt with because their owners obviously don't care. i agree about dogs running loose getting caught up, but not about dogs in public places being on leads. i enjoy taking my dogs out to parks/canals/rivers/nature reserves as well as less populated places, the dogs enjoy it even more! they shouldnt have to miss out cos there's a minority out there who cant socialise and control there own dogs. I no longer take my dogs to public parks because of the number of times out of control dogs cause trouble, my elderly terrier (on lead) near had its guts ripped out by a dog running loose. Did the owner of the large attacking dog give a fuk.........?........no, of course not. I really do believe it is safer for dogs to be on leads in public areas........less need for people to end up fighting too. i know where you coming from and i've had a close call myself, i had my "walking" stick with me at the time (as i allways do now), and swiftly adjusted the agressive dogs attitude, woman didnt like it but i couldnt give a feck for her. i live in a built area and if i want to walk the dogs daily, which i do, before and after work, it aint practical for me to get to permission land with the time i have, so public places it is, with my stick. try and avoid the peak times to manage the risk as best i can. scothunter 12,609
Didn't the dog have his dogs head in its mouth? Maybe it wouldn't let go, and maybe he wasn't trying to kill it at first.
GrCh 856
thinking about it I think most dog owners would do the same when you see your own dog get attacked.
skycat 6,174
As anyone with experience of certain types of dogs will know, it takes a hell of a lot of force to get a dog like that to let go of something if it is determined to kill. If the bloke wasn't used to dispatching large quarry with a knife then he may not have known where to put the blade, so just kept stabbing away in a frenzy while his old terrier was being mullered.

scothunter 12,609
Exactly skycat. I don't fault the man, I mean it was an old dog and he sees it getting killed before his eyes. He knows he can't physically get it off . I bet he tried before going for the blade. That's why I tend not to own dogs, who's head can easily fit in another's lol
Guest thebigdog
a swift boot too the bollocks would have been a lot quicker
Born Hunter 17,813
I'm amazed his terrier was still alive after the time it would have taken to run in the house and get a knife. I very much doubt he had a clue what he was doing and with your average Wilkos special it's hardly a precision tool for despatching a bulldog. He did what any average person could with probably no knowledge or experience of killing big stuff, especially with a knife.
silentrunner2011 218
surley its common sence to cut the throat? doesnt take a "experianced killer" to know that?
