Well that makes more sense. Alligators are a little more biddable. oh shut-up, i hear you said you had a 3 out of 3 iguana that jacked on its first hare, and you were selling a litter of leopard gecko's cross dragon, and they lacked fire Link to post

bigdaz 688
Yea that is true staffy.i missed the chance of buying a siberian husky x saluki a couple of years ago.a stunning looking animal she was.she would have been ideal to through my whippet dog to or a gh stud Narrow escape might describe it better. Floyd17586 454
What would be so bad with that it would have been ideal to throw a gh to. Link to post
porkybella 284
Alrite pal i understand your idea im interesting in doing a cross with a ridgeback alot of people slate them too Link to post
Floyd17586 454
Everyone slates ideas mate.but in my opinion the should be similR to saluki x Link to post
crorider 174
Everyone slates ideas mate.but in my opinion the should be similR to saluki x I'm not slating your idea at all mate but surely it wont be similar to a saluki? Apart from the obvious high levels of stamina i cant think of any other similarities?? I'm not saying it couldnt make a good cross either cos i can see the obvious benefits a dash of huskie blood could possibly bring to the table but theyre completely different tpes of dog imo. Floyd17586 454
Yes i agree been from types of climates but with the british weather i thought husky blood would be better lol.but imo opinion there similar with atamina and how ignorant they both are Link to post
earlystart 56
Can't really talk for a husky but as being similar to a malamute I would say it would bring the brains of a collie and the balls of a terrier like the malamute. Link to post
Floyd17586 454
Cheers earlystart i think it would alot Link to post
Millet 4,497
I would not touch a husky x or any of the other new fasionable breed's with a barge pole..and like it's been said many times before on many of the other pointless thread's..they is proven breed's out there that has stood the test of time so why change now and flood the street's with pointless heavy breed's.. also them husky's must be the most ignorant thick breed's i have ever seen and i am yet to see one walking of the lead in a sensible manner..infact i am yet to actualy see one of a lead so that must say something about the breed.. Sirius 1,391
The crux is that IMO the plus points do not out weight the negative points with many of the primitive spitz types breeds. Yes they have reasonable feet and yes they have a nice enough jacket and stamnia of a sort, but do they have the mentality, temperament and potential working traits for a lurcher in the UK? I would say NO. I have been lucky enough to see many hundreds of Siberian Huskys, Malamutes, Greenland dogs and other associated breeds of this type over the years. And other than feet, stamina and jacket, everything else was a complete turn off, lets face it the skills you need to pull a sledge are not always the ones you need in a hunting dog. But then again I know a few lads who considered the cross but decided against it, and I know "jackanory Burrell" bred them into his 1000 year old line of tumbling, norfolk wotsits...says it all Good luck if someone gives it a go, but I would opt for good trusted more traditional types of hunting companions. Just for you millet no challenges or owt but il show you one if you want just a walk out hitting abit of quarry make your own mind up then by seeing one. Works the lamp, retrieves, jumps, loves teeth soft with ferrets, works at the end of the dig and most of all very bidable so what ever setting you want fella. Least u can see one that aint been held back by its owners 1 Link to post
