Hate em, find blowing down your nose can work.

Another is if your with other lads let them get a headstart and then put your lamp on them. Cows will not bother ya then

I'm usually carrying a shotgun when im out hunting and theres lots of cattle/horses around, should I get charged by a cow it's having both barrels in the face I can tell you

Malt will like that

Cattle are to be respected and given a wide birth were possible..

I have no problems with Dairy cows, olde breeds (herefords, galloways) but have often been charged by young beef cattle.

Its not always avoidable when shit hits the fan I let the dog make her own way, that woman died and old rover made it to the vets..

My sister got trampled as a young lass, was our own fault. As we approached cows with suckling calfs for a closer look, its given me a good healthy fear of cattle

Hate beasts , milkers ain't to bad , and horses a just unpredictable , I live on a farm with 16 tb horses and foals and will only go in the field with 1 of them if I'm walking the dogs , any of the others I walk round lol , a fresh horse in a field is asking for trouble if you walk in with a dog , I know from experience luckily the dog was only clipped by a shoeless mare and didn't take a full kick or I could of been burying him

beasts and cows with calfs are totally unpradictable, having witnessed an old lady walking her friends dog one morning get killed no more than 100yrds infront of me, i have a very healthy respect for them. Be in no doubt they can and have killed people more often than you may think. Ive lamped amonst dairy herds without any problems for years, strange feeling when you flick the lamp on and youve got a line of cattle walking alongside you  i remember going out with a lad whos on here, and doing just that, i turned round to talk to him and he had legged it up the field like ben johnson  horses loose in fields are also bad news at night, ive had one or two arse twitchy moments over the years with them aswell. all part and parcel of the game though.
