2 miles on the roads every morning then an hours mooching earling evening plus lamping throughout the season. The roadwork takes care of their feet and the mooching and lamping takes care of their fitness. done it this way for years.

jesus christ this place gets worse. just a small point after road work i would always give the dogs a good massage/rubdown very beneficial after excercise.

You dont need to rub them down just a steady walk after trotting is enough.

no you dont need to mate , but a rub down is very beneficial any time i find

I always walk mine for 10 minutes after running or jogging and make sure they are steady with the water too, restricting them if I have to until they have cooled. They always throw up if they guzzle too much water after hard exercise and it can give them stomach cramps as well. Personally I feed about an hour after exercise. Course that is only the way I do things. Everyone has a different opinion.
