hender 39
Hi just wondering what all you lads feed your ferrets on?I bought a big bag of dry when i first got my ferrets nearly two years ago but hardly ever use the stuff its handy to have when im out of meat but find they shit loads with it and there is a lot of fillers in them such as plant extracts etc. think if you work it out its probably cheaper to give them meat you can get plenty of chicken wings etc. on the reduced section in the supermarket for cheap and my ferrets seem much more eager to eat it than the dry stuff plus i think they look healthier nice shiny coat and muscular build. Not slating the dry know a lot of lads that give it to there ferrets as a staple was just wondering what everyone feeds theres on? Anyway mine get rabbits, pheasants, lambs heart, kidneys, chicken wings, liver, pigeon, the occasional egg and if im realy pushed for meat the dry. Not trying to cause an argument here as most threads i read on here seem to turn into havnt had ferrets for that long was just wondering what peoples thoughts were on feeding the dry food vs. the meat, bone, fur and feather diet. joe14 98
Yep mine get meat, rabbit, chicken wings, mince (cheap frozen), pheasant. I feed mix of dry food (whatever is on offer, but i feed vitalin as the main, its got very good ingredients). They also get lactofree milk (just cause they like it), eggs, fish etc. Edited October 11, 2012 by joe14 Quote Link to post
