Are 2 Jill's enough for big warrons

I started ferreting a year ago and have two little jills I have got a few farms too go and the warrons are fear big 30 two 40 holes a set I was just wondering if warrons this size are two big for just two Jill's do you think I should get 1 or 2 more ferrets

1or 2 more would help, but id rather to class ferrets than 4 mediocre,

If its what you got go for it your sure to bolt a few if not all if they are good. but ideally I would work 3 or 4 as it really panics the rabbits and you can do the bigger spots.

If you want to work the warren faster use more ferrets but if you got a lot of time the ferrets you have will do the job

I think you should get another couple of jills at least due to the size of the warrens and if you want to spell them during the day

Rabbits can often give 1 or 2 ferrets the run around in large setts that your discribing so a few more ferrets wouldnt go a miss

For a forty hole burrow i would put in four jills and if it was a bit slow add another couple ,but with two you can't

if youve got plenty of big warrens to do ,then you need a few more ferrets ,saves waiting around and your going to get the rabbits to bolt alot easier ,two ferrets running around a large warren will have a right job on getting them to shift ...........jim

We do a lot of big warrens on the south downs and have had 10 ferrets in some of them and the rabbits still can run the ferrets round for ages so it will be very hard work for 2 ferrets to try and move them if you have the room and want to do the big warrens get yourself a couple more ferrets and put them all in the warren at the same time GOOD LUCK MATE
