gnasher16 30,143 Posted October 11, 2012 Report Share Posted October 11, 2012 Must admit i always preferred mesh......i hate when your walking towards the runs and a dog gets up on his backlegs to greet you,leans his front feet on the bars feet go through the gap and smashes his chin on the bars ...........i can see how they are harder to cut through but if someone wants your dog they are going to get it.......just personal preference i guess. Also usually only a 10mm bolt as the hinge for the latch which could easily be knocked off with a hammer. They're spot on for keeping dogs in but not so great for keeping diddys out. There's one company I can think of that make solid bar but their charges reflect this! I think a lot use bar to stop dogs getting their legs trapped in mesh and stops climbing if you have one of those clever little feckers that can climb mesh. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
