FUJI 17,327
They turned out fine earlystart, one was only used for lamping and digging with terriers and the other I have now, again primarily a lamp dog but he works 100% with ferrets and is a very reliable marker and he too works with the terriers and is quite adapt at tracking the bigger stuff, not everyones cup of tea granted but they did and do serve my requirements in the hunting I do and at the end of the day they only have myself to please! 2 Quote Link to post

I think it's a lot to do with the owner and what you do with them.Get them out young show them some work and you have a good chance with most. Dog sounds tidy mate!! 1 Quote Link to post
Runningdogs3 59
Any boby ever bought a pup from non working parents and the pup turned out really good? Probably about the same amount that have bought a dog from working parents and it's turned out crap. Quote Link to post
johnnylestershair 78
thing is if your dogs do you that is all that matters nothing to prove to anyone just a good day or night out and what more can you ask 4 Quote Link to post
Peter Leemooch 160
I rather take a pup off non workers with breeding I like than workers who's breeding I don't like if you have confidence to rear a pup properly I'm not bothered what the parents did 1 Quote Link to post
earlystart 56
So what % of blood line bred pups make the grade? Quote Link to post
chartpolski 24,169
If you have two dogs from the same litter, one owned and worked hard, and the other owned and kept as a pet; which one will be the better Sire, or will they both throw the same ? Same with bitches; two from the same litter; one worked hard and bred from only after 4 or 5 seasons of graft; and one kept purely as a brood bitch. Which will throw the best pups, or will they throw the same ? Cheers. Quote Link to post

What do you think? 1 Quote Link to post

In answer to my own question, I think they would both have the same chance of throwing decent pups. Cheers. 2 Quote Link to post
