B&W 29
Does anyone run their vehicle on this? Found a couple of places local to me that sell it and it's alot cheaper than the fuel pumps. Just wanted to know the pro's and con's and if you need to modify anything on the vehicle? Cheers

South hams hunter 8,922
Just make sure it's a reputable dealer, bought it off someone we know and just f****d it up. He ended up in the local rag for it, turns out he was doing it completely illegally.
cumbye 36
i make my own and run t4,pajaro and 320cdi merc,on it and they all love it.It has to be made right!!!! Take a jam jar, half fill with water, and other half bio, shake up and leave on the window sill, after an hour it should have clear bio on the top and clear water on the bottom...if any white layer remains,it still contains soaps/methanol.Be aware, they will damage your engine over time

Guest Leveller
leveller your probably a sound bloke but lately you seem to be on the offensive . Just an observation and no malice intended No idea what on earth that's supposed to mean? Although he may not want the fact advertised on here cumbye is actually a friend of mine, I know he is into Bio-diesel in quite a big way and knew it wouldn't take too long before he popped up on this thread. If that is offensive in anyway whatsoever then I can only appologise but I can't see it myself. I hope you find the tone of this post to be ok and I certainly appreciate you observing my posts (that is after all what this board's about and the reason why I try to share a few of my hunting exploits) I'm sorry that you find my posts offensive but cumbye knows I don't mean anything by it and I didn't think I'd written anything even verging on offensive anyway......................... cumbye 36
the leveller offend!! You miss read.He sound..... do you sell any of the bio fuel mate.........No mate you have to be registered with customs and revenue to sell, theres loads of red tape storeing regulations for the chemicals, ets etc. You are allowed to produce 2500litres a year duty free,if you go one liter over! you have to pay duty on the whole ammountSo very worth while being a hobbyist,But a huge cost to go commercial..Ebay is full of cheap processors BEWARE,most are dangerous potential bombs, and the chemicals that go to make your methoxide are also very toxic and MUST be handled with respect. However if you do your research, turning stinking old veg oil into liquid gold costing about 0.45 pl,is very rewarding. Before you even think about it..My advice is Number one!!!!!!! make sure you can get your self an on going supply of waste oil(most important)..Number two do your research!!!! Number three do some more research..........Be safe

neil82 1,080
not engine oil, think its a mixture of old cutting oil and machine gearbox oil, been sitting in tanks for years so any particles should have settled by now, probably about 100k gallons
