davedavedave 69 Posted October 9, 2012 Report Share Posted October 9, 2012 (edited) I was out Saturday afternoon with the AA S510 after squirrels as being sunny a day they seem to be more in abundance. I shot 3 but the best was the first one which I stalked to 30m which is my zero point. Shooting off one knee the .177 AA field hit the sweet spot as the picture below shows. However it must have been an instant kill as the squirrel still had the acorn in its mouth it had just forage so I thought interesting pics to share. atb Dave. Phantom 631 Posted October 10, 2012 Report Share Posted October 10, 2012 Nice shot, You are correct instant death, very humane Sometimes the heart will take a couple of beets before it shuts down, so you get what looks like a fair amount of blood pumped out of the wound and of course with it being liquid, it spreads making it look worse than it is.
