Malt 379
muscle and fat weigh the same, but pound for pound muscle is smaller . see below Everything weighs the same, it's like saying which is heavier, a ton of feathers or a ton of lead? Few folk didn't listen in their maths lessons here, volume has got nothing to do with mass!
whippet 99 2,613
muscle and fat weigh the same, but pound for pound muscle is smaller . see below if you take equal mass {same size} then musle ways more ,.....................which is correct to the diagram........ who gives a feck
South hams hunter 8,922
Same volume!! Mass is weight
Born Hunter 17,775
Same volume!! Mass is weight Actually it's not, lol, but to the laymen the terms are used interchangeably. Density is the term you are looking for. Muscle is more dense than fat............. I'm not sure what the f**k that has to do with anything though. The lad wants to bulk up, so eat clean and regularly, train hard, gain lean muscle and inevatably fat and then cut it, which is what every f****r is saying anyway. Like Gnasher says, join a gym or at least a buy a decent bit of literature.

TAXI DRIVER 549
Overtraining is the most common cause of poor muscle/weight gain.Training, nutrition and rest are all equally important if you want to gain muscle mass.
