right , today was the day my young hob was going in for his vasectomy , i took him in this morn and told i could pick him up in the afternoon , the price was £39 .

 

so i ring around 2 o'clock to see if he is ready and how it went , they said o id better get the vet to speak to you , so im waiting on the phone think feck they have killed him ! .. so on comes the vet and thank feck he is ok but the operation had not gone to plan , the had nocked him out cut him open but when it came to cuting the tube as everything was so small they could not differentiate the right tube from an artery , so they had to just close him back up , he will be ready to collect at 4 , but we will have to charge you £30

 

so when i go to the vets i ask to see the vet before i will pay , so i goes in and he explained it all to me he was to under developed and things were to small to differentiate and i got to pay 30 quid ,

 

so i tells him my side , i had rang twice and asked a third time when i booked the op of the age for the ferret and was told 6 months he had to be , and y am i paying 30 quid when you had only quoted me 39 for the full vasectomy ?? no no he said its 60 odd quid for a vasectomy ,

i had said over and over vasectomy and not a castration , but yet they still priced me for a castration , and the ferret was to young goin in for it

 

it has cost me 30 quid now for feck all , the ferret is ok tho thank feck , he said he will discount me when i take him back in 5 or 6 months time to have it done again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fecking pissed right off

The vet stood no chance, the hobs knackers won't drop until spring, find a vet that specialises in small animals

Your best off asking round find a ferret knoledgeable vet. My vet will only castrate hobs when theyre nuts

are visible and spay jills when they are out of season.

I once took mine for castration and it seemed that only one ball was visible but they didnt charge me, they just told me to

take him back in a few week.

I wouldnt be paying them jack mate........he told you it would be no problem, saw the ferret and still want to cut him open before deciding he couldnt do it. Smacks of him not knowing what hes doing.

well it wasnt him that started the op , it was the other vet that started it , and when she couldnt tell the tubes apart , she called him so he said he scrubed up and had a look and couldnt tell them apart either , but said he had done the opp in the past , maybe if it had been him that started it he may had stoped before starting ,

no mate , it means he cant get the jills pregnant , so he can live with them permanently , when ever they come into season he will mate them and they will come straight out of season then ,more healthy for the jills

Short answer is it makes them sterile so when they mate with any Jills that are in season, it tricks the Jill's into thinking they have been impregnated. Jills stay in season all spring and summer if they haven't been mated..

It's a easier operation when there nuts are dropped but if you asked when they wanted him in the problems surely theres ?. and you could of said i will pay up when i bring him back and you do the operation i asked for ?.,

I think I was far to soft in the situation , I don't now y I was , I would not normally have some one take this piss but seems in this situation they have ,and been paid for the privilege . He told me to take him back on Friday just to check him over , think we will be having a long discussion now that I have had time to reflect on it

 

He is still prity drugged and falling around at the moment
