lapin2008 1,587
I have just been forwarded this link. PETA are apparently up in arms about the Pokemon computer game for 'painting a rosy picture of "thinly veiled animal abuse". Yes, I thought it was a piss take at first too! A couple of quotes from the article... 'It said that Pokémon are treated as unfeeling objects and used for such things as human entertainment and as subjects in experiments.' 'This is not the first time that PETA has attempted to attract the attention of the game playing public. Last year it hit out at Mario for wearing "fur" that grants the ability to fly' I am presuming that this is some sort of publicity stunt but cant for the life of me think why anyone would not just think they are a total bunch of muppets! enjoy.. http://news.techeye.net/software/peta-wades-into-pokemon-for-animal-abuse

lapin2008 1,587
The more they start on about bollocks like this the more people start seeing them for the loonies they really are.. Hopefully there must have been some sort of decision made though at management level before embarking on something so daft so you would expect that they are hoping good things to come from this... doesnt make any sense to me! Guest Leveller
They are quite mental, there are groups in the states calling for The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to classify animal rights activism as a mental disorder you only have to look at the tactics of animal rights terrorists such as Paul Watson to see that there is certainly something wrong in their make up.
