Lurcher, Whippet, Terrier and Family Dog Show

Including Stonelands Working and

Stonelands Bull X Championships 2012

@ Stonelands, Ipplepen, Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ12 5TB

Field Events will be run on

SATURDAY 20th October 10am book in

(Lurcher Simulated Coursing, Whippet Simulated Coursing, Lurcher Long Jump plus Lurcher, Whippet and Terrier Hurdles and Racing)

And ALL showing inc Championships

will take place on

SUNDAY 21st October from 10.30am

Showing classes to start approx 1pm

after championships have finished

Entry Cap Per Vehicle, Show Entry £1 Per Class Ringside

Refreshments and Bar on site

Working lurcher championship will be judged as stated below;

They will be shown as they would in a normal class and then marked out of 30 for confirmation, cleanliness and movement, then they will be asked to do one at a time off the lead, walk to heal, wait, stay and recall and then jump an obsticle, this will again be marked out of 30 and the highest scored dogs will then go through to the final cut if anyone showing feels safer with there dog muzzled thats fine for the off the lead part of the showing.

wouldnt bother going unless your part of the clique roo, in the southwest the same people win all the shows and if your dogs have any indication of being worked thy make snide comments

 

fair comment. . BUT scared up big bullx's dont do well at the shows. . there not my cuppa-either

 

its a 2 day show. so why dont you come up and put your dog in the coursing. on the saturday. . then you can go home still with nothing :tongue2:

Due to the horrendeous amount of rain we have had the last few weeks and what is still forecasted i have had to make the hard decision to

POSTPONE this show :(

I do not have a date as yet but once i do it will be posted on here,

      QUALIFIERS are available to GB SHOW ORGANISERS for the following CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
                                                     at the IRISH GAME FAIR, Shanes Castle, Antrim on the 29/30 June.
      1. FIVE NATIONS WHIPPET CHAMPIONSHIP
      2. FIVE NATIONS LURCHER CHAMPIONSHIP
      3. FIVE NATIONS TERRIER CHAMPIONSHIPS
      4. MASTER MC GRATH LURCHER CHALLENGE  Two dogs to qualify from each show ( over and under 23")
      5. MICK THE MILLER CHALLENGE for Traditional HAIRY LURCHERS any size. Two to qualify from each show. 
      EACH CHAMPIONSHIP HAS £200 to the Winner £50 to the Runner Up plus other prizes and quality trophies.   As the 31st ANNUAL All Ireland Championships ( Showing & Racing) also take place this weekend ( which are open all ) qualifiers can have a real opportunity to compete for titles and prizes with the best of Irish dogs. 
      To recognise the additional costs of coming to the event for GB qualifiers, they get FREE tickets to the show and special ferry and accommodation rates and each GB qualifying event organiser gets £50 for their best in show winner.

      Fell and moorland wtc are holding in there summer show again in good old Lancashire. 
      Get yourself and the family down to support this club. All the cash made gose back to the members if they have a dog stuck and need a rescue. 
      All the usual classes for the terriers and the running dogs. Champion bull X  and child handler for the kids! 
      And Anyone wanting to show there Bedlingtons we have a class for them as well. 
      Qualifiers for champion of champions at the Midlands, Pride of the peaks and more! 
      Food and drinks available on site, trade stalls welcome
