Guest Ditch_Shitter
Purse nets?! Bloody hell mate; Just about every body and his uncle, I shouldn't wonder! Listen; If ye want to get hold of some to try out, first ye need to discern what size will do best. Obviously, I haven't got a clue what sized hole a groundhog makes. But ye want a net plenty big enough to drape all over the mouth of that hole with plenty of bag and spare around the sides. Maybe three footers? Then there's the material to consider. A bit like asking what coffee to drink or cigarettes to smoke. Everyone swears by their own favourites. Hemp. Spun Nylon. What ever. This ounce. That ounce. Colours?! Ferreting column's probably the best place to discuss this. Just go there and ask for where best to get some decent Purse Nets these days. I'm figuring half a dozen would be plenty for ye. It sounds like ye basicly pursue individual rabbits, one at a time, in single holes? Half a dozen should last plenty long enough for ye to get a very good idea of the craic then. Ye biggest decision might be in what sort to get and from which of a raft of commercial suppliers or private net makers. Load of lads on here make their own nets. Quote Link to post
