always thought it would be great if some clever person could bring out a micro chip than is imbedded into the ferrets neck that transmits a signal to a box would be so more comfortable for a ferret

What do you do ring a bell if the ferret doesn't show , and wait for the mountain ferret rescue , : ) I might get rid of my car and trade it for a horse and cart to ,

so what did ppl do before they were invented still caught rabbits they make ppl rush to start digging and walking all over the earth sit back and let them work

I use the old MK1 knocker box and collars. Always spot on. Reliable. Battery in the collar and box has been in for over a year now! Never failed.

my ferreting partner uses the MK3 and collar... so far so good. Excellent locate and search function to be fair, hope it proves to be a good en!

It's a hinderence having to re-lay the nets every time a ferret passes so it's about time an alternative locator came into the equation... Something like a microchip in the neck or in a very thin collar is a long time overdue, but it would have to be a superb bit of kit for me to replace the Old MK1 mind!

The mark3 needs some serious sorting out, the switching the collars on and off with a magnet is poor.

they could also have made the collar smaller.

the daft sounds it makes is also a pain in the neck.

I have both the mark1 and the mark 3m, and find i only use the mark3m collar with my old knocking box.

What i really find annoying is the ferreting experts that are used to test the latest kit, none of them come out and say what a load of shit.

no doubt Deben will be working on the new mark4.

Never had any problems with mine. Once the batteries are in the collars I keep the collars and the locator separate because I have had the locator turning mine on when travelling and this reduces battery life. I never leave the batteries in the collars or locator when not in use and I store them indoors.
